The John Stark Generals Football and Cheer Association was founded in 2000 to provide young student-athletes in Weare, Henniker, and surrounding towns the opportunity to play football and cheer. With a strong emphasis on sportsmanship, safety, leadership and accountability, the JSGFCA has grown to become a respected organization in NH youth football.
Football Athletes in grades 1, 2, and 3 are taught the fundamentals of the game through flag football. In fourth, fifth and sixth grade the game changes to an instructional tackle format as part of the Snowbelt Football league. Seventh and eighth grade athletes compete in the Granite State Football League where the game becomes much more competitive.
Competition cheer is offered at all levels from grade 1-8. All levels are taught the fundamentals of cheerleading including sideline cheers, stunts, tumbling and dance. In addition to cheer on the sideline for the football teams, all levels compete in competitions with other squads throughout the state.
