The Jr. Generals Junior High Football program serves players from many surrounding communities who are in the 7thand 8th grades. If participation numbers require it (or if there are exceptions desired), the Granite State Football League does support 6th grade participants as well, but we would prefer to field a true “Jr. High” team of 7th and 8th graders, so please help us spread the word to great families looking for a “football home” this coming fall! The goal of this program is to provide more advanced development and competition in the game of tackle football, with an emphasis on safety, skills, and sportsmanship. Jr High football generally starts in mid-August and runs through the end of October, with an additional 2-3 weeks of playoffs for teams who advance. Similar to the Youth program, typically we practice 5 days per week in the pre-season to build body stamina and conditioning. We then transition to 2-3 practices per week and play games on Saturdays.
The league provides helmets, shoulder pads, and all required protective gear. Players will need to have their own cleats, water bottles, and mouth pieces. Please reach out to [email protected] if you have questions.
